Book Journaling is something that I started doing last year. I first started using Goodreads but recently I have really wanted to have a physical book that I can look back on, because then I could write both quotes and notes for each book that I read.
So what is book journaling?
Like a diary, a book journal chronicles your life through the books you read. With every book you read, you add an entry detailing your thoughts and reflections. This process can make you a better reader and writer.
So how do you get started?
The easiest way to get started is to buy yourself a book journal. There are tons of book journals available in lots of places online. Book Journals have really become popular since Booktok really took off last year, that I noticed anyway.
There is also at least one digital version that I know of and that is GoodReads, that's what I first started using, but now want to have something a little different.
Personally, I am making my own. I like the idea of having a full 8.5" x 11" page for each book. I also am making my book like a colouring book, each page of reviews will have a piece to colour and the cover is also a colouring page. I am wondering if anyone wants to buy one. You can send me a message if you are interested.
Another thing that I started last year, but haven't finished doing yet and will complete this month, is a Book Library. Basically, a book that has all of my books listed in it divided by genre and has both the title and author listed. I love having a visual book for what books I actually have and it makes it easier for me to keep track when I am wanting to buy a new book but my shelves are overflowing and it's really hard to find all my books. I am going to change my book up though and fix a bunch of stuff.
